Today was a mess. Supposed to be

20 min AMRAP

3 wall climbs
10 up-downs
5 parallete pass throughs
10 grasshoppers

First off I didn't realize how difficult this would be. But I'll be damned if I'm not sure I can do it. To begin with I started the wall climbs quickly realizing it was harder than I thought but still doable, moved on through first round, and promptly realized I destroyed a nice section of all white wall in my work building. Thats a no no. So I removed my shoes, stopped the clock to do it and started again and forgot to start the clock. Couldn't do the wall climbs because the wall was too slick in my socks, so I ended up doing partial wall climbs and sliding off the wall then, as I was doing the pass throughs (subbed with 2 weight benches) I smashed my foot into one of the benches as they were too close together (hurts like hell btw), removed my socks, started wall climbs again and promptly fell off the wall because it was still too slick almost crushing a knee into a weight machine. Determined to continue I decided to do 3 reps of 15 sec planche progressions and finish for a total of 4 rounds. I have no clue how long it took. I was in the gym for 45 minutes. My foot hurts...and I give up for today...

Tabata something else 32 intervels of work at 20 sec with 10 sec rest time where 1st 8 intervels are pullups, 2nd 8 are pushups, 2nd 8 are situps, 2nd 8 are squats. Total count is score.

Think I'm off by 2 or 3 reps but underestimated the value for accuracy. Total was 235.

Pullups 41
pushups 52
situps 57
squats 85

This was more a failure WOD for me than anything else. wasn't as tired as I thought.

Today was start of Ripptoe's workout. Thought I was starting off at a medium range and realized I haven't adapted to strength training yet as I had to drop the weight by a huge margin. I'm guessing it has to do with my ectomorphic origins but oh well. Did all warmups as rx'd except the deadlift. This dam workout took me almost two hours including dressing and shower. Thats a problem and I'm gonna have to figure out another way unless I want to be out of a job. Anyway

Squat: started at 185, knees buckling on 4th rep so went down to 165. was still pretty hard but doable

1x4, and 2x5

Benchpress: was going to start at 185 and decided to drop 20 lbs on this also. Fear of the shoulder again

165 lbs 3x5

Deadlift: same thing dropped it to 230 lbs right off.

Today was essentially a rest day so walked on treadmill 30 minutes 15 degree incline 3.5 mph did approx 1.76 miles or so. did a mini crossfit warmup with usual 15 minute stretching. nothing big.

Today was Squat Press and Powerclean

Squat 170 lbs 3x5
Press 85 lbs 3x5
Powerclean ( wanted to start at a low weight and practice form but started way to low and moved the weight up, gonna need to go up some more on next lift probably try 20-30 lbs and see if I can do that without screwing up form. Smashed lower ribcage one time trying to follow Riptoe's advice on the lift. Ouchie)
3x5 @ 75 lbs
3x5 @ 85lbs
3X5 @ 85lbs (still too easy but lower chest was hurting so decided to work on form, hope my skills here don't interfere with getting stronger at this)

did mini xfit warmup and recommended riptoe warmup. took almost 2 friggin hours!!

2 mile run. 17:41

no treadmill this time just a 80% ish steady pace.
no access to weights today.
walked the dogs for 1/2 hour after that. not sure that should count heh.

Dead Lift 3x5 240

Bench was easy gonna pop up to 170 next time
dead lifts were very hard. more so with grip strength.

30 minute treadmill walk 1.53 miles at 3.0 mph

15 deg incline. 20 lbs vest, 20 lbs of weights (2 10 lbs db)

lot of short rests. was pretty hard actually.

clean 90 3x5

squat legs are a bit wobbly and having trouble keeping them pushed out. went up on clean. did better with it actually.

mini xfit warmup and riptoe warmup up. will continue to do this and write down if not completed vs. everytime I put in numbers.

Wild hair today. Murph was on the plate at Crossfit and I decided, "What the hell?". So this morning I warmed up, pulled out my winter running gear put my vest on and hit it. I figured I could take the pushups pullups and squats in a cindy format or L8D1 that way would only be 20 rounds (notice I said only.... heh). I literally was struggling to ccomplete pullups and pushups getting close to 10 rounds and when I was having to jump off bar shake it out for more than a minute to continue doing pullups I decided that it just wasn't gonna happen. So...

Short Murph

1 mile run
50 pullups
100 pushups
150 squats
1 mile run


Kinda pissed I couldn't complete the other parts but at the same time happy cause I couldn't have done 1/16 of what I did today a year ago. So not bad all in all.
Oh yeh the last one mile run when I first started running? Holy shit... (pardon my french)

One week heavy stress. enough said

10 min Cindy. essentially was going to do 20 min but was completely failing on pushups by round 8.

completed 8 rotations. total time was 10:17

100 burpee pullups FT

decided to keep workouts under 15 minutes due to work/time constraints so didn't get 100. completed 70 in 17:34

essentially had to do a burpee, jump then walk to pullup bar, bar is only at wrist level when stretched overhead so did dead hangs to complete pullup. Traditional is to jump to bar.
