L1D2 5 rounds of 6 bodyrows, 18 pushups to desk, 10 squats 10.09mins.

Sheesh those pushups are what killed me, this is the first week I've done the proper 3:1 sub for both pushups and pullups. oi! Broke the pushups into sets of six with a short break inbetween.

Also stretched the rest between rounds to 5 mins cause after the first round I reckoned I needed it LOL. Did DDR to fill in the time, and yep its called Dancing Stage here in Aus too but then nobody would have a clue what I was talking about so DDR it is. Another half our or more of DDR after the workout, just for fun.

30 bodyrows, 63 pushups to desk, 21 squats

Went a little something like this:-

bodyrows 9, 6, 6, 4, 5 took 20-30sec break between sets, clock was at 3:40

straight onto the pushups 10, 6, 6, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 5, 5, 5 started with 30sec rests but moves onto 1min rests towards the end total time 12.20 so pushups took me 8mins 40secs.

21 squats finished at 13.33 including breaks.

My arms are like jelly but overall it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. And at 13.33mins I can live with that so yeah I could do it again next week. It didn't take me as long as I thought it would to get through them all.

Hah, just went back and counted how many pushups I did for day 2 - 90 dunno want I was worried about :lol:

I wrote this big long reply to your previous message - and then decided against it. I essentially was saying to do what you did: break 'em up.

Thanks VBM!

Ok so this week is rest week so for today I tried Kevin's suggestion of 5 x 5 on the pushups, used a wooden chest which comes up to just below my knee cap - worked quite well.

Also practiced janda style squats, I had been going to just below parallel with squats in the workouts. So after each set of pushups I did about 3 nice slow squats as deep as I could. Found I could not go quite to the bottom without my knees twisting outwards so I just went as far as I could with good form, think I'll work on these once a week for now too.

Had a really great day today!

Did the 5 x 5 on the pushups again, meant to come back later and try 5 x 5 on bodyrows too but somehow I didn't. Spent a few hours on a new DDR game and got my first AA, yay!

I've just started doing my Certificate III in Accountancy via distance education and I sent off my first assessment today and felt pretty good about it, so yeah I'm having a good day.

W7 L1D2

Sticking to the 5 x 5 theory I did 3:1 on the bodyrows but stuck to six pushups to knee hight (I figure six is close enough to 5).

Was planning to do D1 workout yesterday and today but just didn't feel up to it so I did D2 today instead This is a busy week for me and I'm detoxing off carbs and caffine so I will do D1 later in the week hopefully, I need to be there mentally for that one.

Well it turns out I took 2 rest weeks :oops: I kept active but didn't workout much. Anyhoo I'm feeling refreshed and ready to go, mentally as much as anything. I think I was overthinking my workouts too much and taking the the enjoyment out for myself. So I hereby promise myself I will do what feels good and not worry to much about the "rules" or my progress, that will all come in time. (And just to clarify I was putting these pressures on myself not anyone else - I tend to do that :roll: )

On the plus side I shook up my diet big time by going cold turkey off caffine and starchy carbs/sugars. I feel great now (10 days later) because I've finally got the cravings off my back. Now just to keep it up, probably should go back to logging my food here again.

So W7 L1D1 28 rounds

Bodyrows at 30 degrees (hubby made me some handles on straps to go over my pullup bar) 1 only.
Pushups for the first 20 rounds I did to my 12 inch step 2 reps only, my range of motion could have been a bit deeper but I think I'll still mix these in as they felt like they will get me somewhere), the last 8 rounds I did sets of 6 onto my desk.
Squats as usual.

Ahhh, its good to be back!

I am in the same category - my rest week I intended to delay for one week ended up being a two-week stint.

I like the "no pressure" attitude! I need that as well. This is not a competition with anyone in here but your self (see Kevin's signature). And really - competition might be the wrong word for that too. I just want to do what I do and stop now and then to take notice.

I did 5 rounds of these
5 of bodyrows @30 degrees
5 pushups hands at knee height
10 squats
20 sec planks
3 DDR songs

Wow those planks are hard I did the first 3 on my elbows and the last 2 on my hands which I actually found a bit easier, approx 20 secs was about all I could do maintaining perfect form.

Again - I love day 2!

Exactly the same as when I last did day3 approx 20 days ago except I shaved 2.29 mins off my time - so I guess thats progress!

Off to do a couple of planks before I forget.
edited to add: probably straight after my workout is not the best time for my planks, my arms were jello. Did 3 anyway for 20 sec each.

Good work! 63 pushups take time, no matter how you do them. Get thee to the proper ones and watch your time plummet!
