Thanks taifun!

I'm hoping L5 is right around the corner, I've been stalled at L4 for a while now. Pullups are still holding me back so I'm gonna start working them a bit on off days again.

Last night I did the one pullup the first minute, two the second etc. workout from Crossfit. Made it 6 rounds plus 4 pullups for a total of 25.

Yesterday's workout...

5 rounds for time
4 pullups
12 pushup
16 situps
20 squats

... 13:38 (PR by 7 seconds)

My favorite pullup workout is today's WOD over at crossfit so I'll be doing that again tonight.

Taking a bit of a rest week this week and then on to Level 5 next week.

Okay, since Christmas fast approacheth and I'll without a doubt be missing a workout or two around then (not to mention what'll happen to my diet) I've decided to put an end to my rest week and get on with things...

My bastardized version of L5D2
5 rounds for time
5 pullups
15 pushups
20 situps
26 squats

timed straight through... 19:11

I have a feeling this is gonna turn out to be a pretty bad time. I ate dinner about 30 minutes before and felt like hurling thru most of it.

Stationary Bike 5 miles - 19:19

This is the first straight cardio workout I've done in at least a couple of months and it ended up being only 9 seconds off my best time. Not too shabby!

Bah!! Screwed up my hamstring on the weekend, not even sure how!! It feels like its just about better so hopefully I can get back at it tomorrow.

lol, I was stretching a few weeks ago and tweaked my hamstring pretty good. It wasn't even a deep stretch I was just sort of stretching for the heck of it. It hurt like an SOB for about a half hour and I was getting worried about real damage but then it went away but it was tender for a few days afterwards. Getting old sucks.

Yeah, getting old does suck!

My leg is still feeling a little sore but I decided to give it a go anyways.

L5D2 as Rx'ed. Nice and slow on the squats, all pullups were deadhang, pronated.

1:40/1:38/1:44/2:01/2:14 = 9:17

I have a feeling D3 is gonna be a looong one!

I got one of those foam rollers (Dick's has 'em). It's helping a ton!

Yeah, I think I'll look into that... I'm feeling the aches and pains a lot more these days so hopefully that'll help.

My first go at L5D1... 21 rounds. Went a little too fast out of the gate which hurt some of my later rounds, I need to learn to pace this one better. Pretty good form throughout though.

edit: I can't add... that should be 6:40

Pullups were 5, 3-2, 3-2, 3-2, 2-2-1. Pushups and all but the last set of squats were unbroken.

Followed it up with 2.5k on the stationary bike.
