WEEK 4

L4D1: 27 rounds.
+ ab routine: 20 sit ups, 20 side crunches each side, 20 bicycle crunches, 4 L's (or whatever they're called).

The pull ups are starting to get easier. Virtually no body swinging or other cheats. Okay, maybe some on the last couple rounds. I can definitely feel the one extra push up and squat each round, too.

Thanks!

Yesterday was Doggie workout day for Lexi, our Aussie/Border mut.

Tracy, my wife, had a day off work and took Lexi on a hike up Gray Rock Mtn, just outside of town here. They hiked up the long route, 4.3 miles in 2.5 hours. Then down the shorter route, 3.1 miles in 1.5 hours.

Then in the evening I took her for a run around the neighborhood. We ran Fartleks, which equated to sprinting for 30 seconds at a time followed by moderate running until I caught my breath or otherwise recovered the will to sprint again. Usually about 2 minutes. That went on for the first 3/4 of the run, then we ran at a moderate pace the rest of the way. The full 5K took 29:39.

She is only 2 this year, so she still has an endless supply of puppy energy. If we don't walk or run her she gets herself into trouble or asks to play ball all the time. We'd like to keep her in shape and minimize the people food, so she doesn't blimp out like all the pets we had growing up.

I just love puppy energy! If only we could hook 'em up to generators..

L4D2: 3:37 The day was so hectic I just didn't feel like supplementing the workout last night. I did manage to repair my son's cassette player during the rest breaks though.

Cruising right along Keith. Are you young or something? Throw me a bone man, tell me you're in your 20's.
