1. Log

I just started SimpleFit, and am on my second week. I did pretty well on day 3 last week, but I stayed on level one, because I wanted to complete l1d3 with all dead-hang pull-ups. Going to try level 2 next week. [edit]I am extremely pleased with simplefit so far. I was sore all over after the 15 rounds the first day, but very pleasantly surprised that I could do 15 pullups. I was even happier to squeeze in 30 rounds on 5 days ago. Go self![/edit]

Level Day Rounds/Time
Week 1
1 1 15
1 2 3:04
1 3 3:15
Week 2
1 1 30
1 2 3:18
1 3 3:10

2. Today's workout

Today, I used my dog as warm up workout equipment. Tug of war. Nothing quite like dragging a fightin 40lbs around for a quick warm up. She will even hang from the rope if I lift her up high enough. (it's good exercise for her too)

3. Introduce myself

I am 30 years old male, weigh 175ish. I was always quite active up until this year. I rode a bike(a lot), and just generally was in motion a lot. About a year ago I got sloppy, and I have not been exercising very much. A recent general stiffness and malaise in the mornings, and a softening gut pushed me to get going again. So here I am.

4. Training plan/goals
My plan is simple.
a. SimpleFit 3x week
b. some other exercise all other days (could be walking, biking, DDR, anything physical) If I need a day off, I just do a short slow bike ride or some walking.
c. Do this everyday for three months. I have a pic from the day I started, and will take a pic every 30 days.
d. I am also doing 1 pull up every time I walk under the pull up bar(took today off as prep for d3)

So hello!

Hey nuggets!

Welcome! I like your approach. I did a week or so of one pullup now and again. It really helped me progress.

week 3 D1L2

Post by nuggets » Mon Sep 03, 2007 4:50 pm

Had a pretty active day today. A few hours of mountain biking(not too hard), and then day one at level two.

I felt like an animal, I could just keep going and going. :twisted:I did 33 reps(really awesome for me).

I need a shower now.

Hey nuggets

Impressive workout!

And its great when you get the feel that you just able to keep pushing on and on..

Had the same feeling yesterday when I took on L1D1.. but not sure I would have had it if I had done a couple of hours of mountainbiking...

Hey, nice work. I think you can skip or postpone a rest week here and there if you feel really really good. No point letting all that energy go to waste.

Nice work, with your frequency be sure to stay vigilant for signs of tendinitis.

Really I should have said pay attention to how your elbows feel, if you start getting nagging joint pain in the elbow you could be developing tendinitis.

Ok, I will be vigilant for the joint pain. If I start to feel some pain, is it already too late? Can I react quickly and not disrupt my routine?

When I did D3 for level 4 I forgot to start the timer. I decided to stay on level 4 for at least one more week anyhow.
