diet-wise, I have shifted to lots of good meats, fruits, and veggies; no sticky carbs. In practice, I usually only make it until thursday night, when the cheating starts (mexican food and a few beers here and there until sunday). Although I know I'm doing myself a disservice cheating, I also give myself props for going pretty hardcore those other days. It's MUCH better than my diet was before. Next step will be to cut back on the cheating.

L1D3- 3:29

haven't done any jumping pullups in awhile, but still using rubber bands. started a shoulder workout today afterwards, 5 OH squats with two 20# dumbbells, then 10 dumbbell press, was only able to do that twice.

also have been doing a jump rope warm up since I started with simplefit. I usually get caught up on the rope and have to reset. The last few times, I am actually NOT getting caught up, but I am limited by endurance. So that's some progress there.

Happy Friday

Also, last night I got my first two real pullups in a long time. I am using bands for the workouts, which has gotten me where i am now.

Hey ddm,

Just reading through your posts. Congratulations on the 2 pull ups! I sincerely mean that. I imagine that felt pretty good. Keep it up!

Thanks! It's a great feeling, as I'm sure many people here know. Back before I started, I spent a lot of time reading other people's success stories. Here's to being part of that now.

all pullups band assisted
last set of pushups was on my knees.

10 minutes of walking /jogging/limping afterwards.

tough day today, I could barely even jump rope in my warmup. But I feel great now that I've cooled down. Haven't had this much fun working out since playing college lacrosse (which can't be beat).

L2D3 - 4:01
sub'd band assist pullups

broke it up like this:

6 rds of 2pullups, 4pushups, 4 squats
1 rd of 1 pullup, 2 pushups, 2 squats
total of 13,26,26

someone please let me know if i'm not supposed to break it up. 13 pullups would take me a lot longer if i had to do them in a row.

I will gauge it on monday, but I will probably move to level 3.

Kept at Level2 instead of 3. At the end of my workouts, pushups are suffering. So I'll stay at 2 until they get better.

On Day 3 you should do the exercises in order. All pull-ups, all push-ups then all squats. Yes, it's supposed to be harder, it works a different aspect of the muscle and conditioning. Doing 13 pull-ups in a row is much more difficult than breaking them up. You can break each exercise up into sets, like in L7, I can't do 40 pull-ups in a row, so I break them into sets of 15 and 10 or something like that. But don't move onto the next exercise until you complete all the reps of the previous one, otherwise you're just doing a different version of Day 1.

Thanks for the clarification, I'll do this Saturday when my next D3 is scheduled.

I took things slower and found it much harder. Tomorrow will do D3 the right way. I expect it to be- interesting.
