D1L7:
- 18 rounds PR (-11 cf. previous D1L6, -11 cf. previous L6 PR)
I really wanted to get my first Level 7 workout under my belt, and that I have done. My result shows a certain lack of motivation, which I think is due to not wanting to set the bar too high: it would be a bummer to get, say, 25 rounds on my first D1L7 followed by 20 rounds on the next D1.
Still 18 rounds of D1L7 gives 72 pull-ups, which is only 15 less than the 87 I managed in my 29 round D1L6 PR.
4 pull-ups is enough for me to try kipping, but not really enough to "find" my kip (it usually takes me 5 or 6 reps to get kipping smoothly), so these 4 pull-ups are my least efficient.
Sets of 8 push-ups become hard very quickly.
D2L7:
- Untimed.
8 pull-ups is enough that I should be able to get my kip going.
Too bad I can't!
D3L7:
- 9'45" PR (+4'53" cf. previous D3L6, +4'53" cf. L6PR)
Pull-ups: 40 (20-8-4-4-2-2)
Push-ups: 80 (20-10-10-10-10-10-5-5)
Squats: 80 (30-20-20-10)
I did manage to get my kip going here, sorta. Good, but not great. It was also encouraging to find myself able to kip on the second set. Up til now, I've always exhausted myself in the first set.
