Thank you!

17.12.08

Instead of D2, I used a workout from crossfit:

35x Squat
15x Knees to Elbows
35x Squat
35x Situp
15x Knees to Elbows
35x Squat

2 rounds for time.

Time: 21:42

I realized during the first set that 35 Knees-to-Elbows (as rxed) was completely undoable. I got 30 reps on the first go, and scaled the K-t-E down to 15 after that. Otherwise, I couldn't have done two rounds. I'm still Ok with the result.

I love ktes!

The way I tire on those is like I do on multiple rep cleans - total exhaustion. Weird thing is they're easy - I just can't keep doing them. I know it sounds silly but I know what I mean ;)

That's it exactly! I was just trying them out a while ago, to see whether I got it right. I did just a few reps, and it was pretty easy, so I figured I'd try a workout with lots of them... But lots is a vast difference to just a few.

All the more reason to do that again some time soon!

19.12.08

L7D3 - 07:47

I definitely still felt the last workout, especially in the upper arms. That slowed my pull-ups down. Don't know whether I'll get another WO done this year...

I'm pretty motivated, though, among other things because of the feedback here. Thanks, guys.

Take an active rest week - do some Tabata pushups one day some Tabata squats another day and some Tabata pullups another day...

4 minute workouts to keep you fresh!

This week, I did three 21-15-9 style workouts, just to keep an edge. Will do the same next week. Regular schedule resumes on 05.01.09.

Back with lots of motivation. I think I'll seriously check out the Zone, maybe next week.

Thanks! The more rounds I get in, the worse the form is at the end, but I was reasonably satisfied this time. I think a good part - for me - is how far I'm willing to push myself.

08.01.09

5x5

Squats
42,50 kg
46,50 kg
48,50 kg
48,50 kg
44,50 kg

Presses
36,50 kg
36,50 kg
36,50 kg
36,50 kg
36,50 kg

Power Cleans
42,50 kg
46,50 kg
48,50 kg
46,50 kg
46,50 kg

Presses look stable at this weight, I'll add some next time. Still somewhat wasted after yesterdays workout, so I was cautious with the plates.

Stronglifts?

Postby jasonb » Thu Jan 08, 2009 9:07 am

Hi Zorg,

Are you following the Stronglifts 5x5 program? I'm looking to do it after a few months of dropping weight/better conditioning via Simplefit. How long have you been lifting?

Thanks,

Jason
