My brother and I were discussing ways to keep ourselves in check with our workout, so as not to cheat or skip days. He has his lovely bride who freely gets on him to keep to his workout goals. I use my google calendar notifications for work and my workouts but let's be real here: I ignore all my non-work related popups.
Here was the suggestion which culminated from the chat: have someone (a total stranger) on this here website be a workout buddy. That way that person and I would keep each other on task to do our workouts. My brother also suggested we keep it simple, such as a PM saying "worked out D1, diet" or tweet "D1 today" or "finished workout" with an @ to the buddy.
Would anybody be up for that? (Alternatively, if there is already a system like this in place, could I get in on it?)
