My goal is to acieve the classic "V", wide shoulders and back tapering down to a narrow waist (I"m vain, what can I say).

what are your measurements for your shoulders and waist right now? and what do you want them at?

I don't have a tape to measure exactly, but my waist is 38" (ugh!) and my shoulders are between 46 (I think) I would like to get my waist back to 34" (32" would be better, haven't seen that since my twenties). 4/26 edit, I don't know what my shouder measurements are. Have to stop at wal-mart and get a tape measure.
The increased strength, fitness and better overall health are all additional benefits. Am not interested in being a body builder.

Seriously, its time to post some real goals.
Decrease body fat to <20% by 31October2007, currently 35-36% and dress up like a Spartan Warrior (they were called "hoplites") for Halloween.
Perform 10 deep hang pull-ups, unassisted
Perform 1 muscle-up by 31December2008
Start doing Crossfit beginner's program and/or WOD at some point in 2008 or before.
Find a training partner to work out with. Anyone live in or near Hunterdon County, NJ?
The "V" and looking good naked will be the result of these realizing the above stated goals.

YES! hahahahaha. I think it should be EVERYONE'S goal. From here on out, it is the default goal of every simplefitter: Spartan for Halloween.

Just be sure to take before and after photo's so you can be simplefit poster children!
