gluteus maximus?

After day 1 Im feeling a deeeep burn in my gluteus maximus muscle, what exercise causes this? Squats with weights dont burn me like this even

Make sure you are engaging you core to support your back when doing any of these, it is possible you strained your back or else I would attribute it to the high volume of squats.

Sound like to deep, high rep squats are having their desired effect. Remember to squat so that your thighs are parallel to the ground (no lower) and try to keep your knees from protruding out over the tips of your toes.

I was going till I was sitting on my calves pretty much, now I know better. My poor bootie
