It works :D

Hi

I wanted to lose weight so I started the bodyweight exercises without REALLY paying attention to my food. I tought I ate OK, but this was not true.

Then I took a look at Kevin's nutrition suggestions, and I started eating as natural as possible + I started counting calories with the free tools at www.sparkpeople.com. After a week I already lost 2 pounds, which sounds good to me.

Thanks Kevin

I'd like to add a bit about what's happening to me

After week 2 , already lost 6 pounds. This is really great. I feel better, healthier, stronger. At week 3 I can already feel the added strength and endurance, my workout stats increased by 40 %.

I never tought my nutrition could make SUCH a difference.

Thanks

Still working on it

Postby b4ckf1r3 » Sun Apr 06, 2008 7:42 am

I've been doing SF for 6 weeks now and can see amazing results.

I've lost 15 pounds and gained in muscle density. I feel good and strong.

5 pounds left to reach my second objective (10 pounds at a time objectives)

This is GREAT ! too bad I didn't take a picture of me "before" so I could compare.

another update

Postby b4ckf1r3 » Fri May 09, 2008 2:17 pm

thanks to all for your encouraging posts

I wanted to make another update about my situation

with around 2 months and a half done, I gained lots of strenght and I can feel it everyday, I feel sooo good. I gained hard muscle and lost a lot of fat, my stomach has flattened also

20 pounds lost in 2 months and a half, doing only SF and a couple of abs exercices, eating naturally and drinking a lot of water

THIS IS FANTASTIC I NEVER FELT SO GOOD BEFORE IN MY LIFE (and I'm 29)

Admin (Kevin) : one suggestion for the log progress would be to add the possibility to track how many rounds you can do on day 1 before taking the first pause ... since I started looking into this sort of detail, my performances have increased drastically.

THANK YOU SIMPLEFIT
THANK YOU KEVIN

I'll keep you guys posted when I'll reach my other weight loss objectives, but I think I'll have to cheat a bit and add some cardio every day ;)

very happy b4ckf1r3

Great job.

I also set a mini-goal for myself of trying to increase the number of rounds I could do before I took a rest. I think that helped, to a point, I think eventually I got to a point where I was burning myself out trying to beat that goal each time and the amount of work I did in the overall workout suffered. For example, doing 15 rounds without rest and being wiped out to only do 22 rounds, versus a workout completing 28 rounds.

Splint : you're right. But you have to agree with me that it helps in the beginning. This is all about intensity :)

Oh yeah, it definitely motivated me to get better each time. I only mention it because it took me a couple of weeks of stalled gains to realize that I didn't have to keep trying to beat it. A good idea would be to use both. On some days, see how far you can go without rest. On others, try a metered goal of getting like 6 rounds every 5 minutes or whatever. Variety and intensity is a strong combination.
