logsitall

Post by volleyball_man » Mon Jan 12, 2009 11:16 am

Hey - I use logsitall.com to log some of my workouts. I get to compare results with people in my age-group, gender, etc.

Today I made the "Athlete of the Day!" WOOHOO!

I just visited Logsitall and I see that, through a terrific oversight, SimpleFit workouts are not listed in their library of workouts. They invite people to submit workouts to be added by contacting adminadmin@logsitall.com with the details.

Kevin, as the creator of SF, would be interested in contacting Logsitall to have your program added? If not, would you mind if I did so?

I have emailed back and forth with the logsitall creator a good bit. I have tested features for him. He's very much open to suggestions. Hit him up Matt.

Bill Patton over at Logsitall has agreed to my request. He proposes the following data structure:
i've taken a quick look at the workouts - and here is the data structure that i'd recommend building into logsitall:

Date Done

Level (drop down menu 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)
Day (drop down menu, 1,2,3)
Rounds (leave blank for time based workouts)
Total Time (leave blank for rounds based workouts)
Type(basic, intermediate, advanced, tabata)
(i see that there are advanced workouts listed in addition to basic here:
http://www.simplefit.org/advanced-bodyw ... cises.html)

So in order to log a workout you'd enter the information above a

And then log it. This would also allow you to compare your performance against others using the same criteria.
I've never done the intermediate or advanced workouts. Would they work with the same recordkeeping structure as the basic workouts?

If you see any problems, post them here.

The SimpleFit workouts have been added to Logsitall.
(I just entered my last workout.)

Hey folks,
I want to encourage people to log their workouts at Logsitall and make sure to enter your gym as "SimpleFit" that way we can keep track of each other.

If enough people use Logsitall, the sooner Bill Patton, the site's owner, will create a ranking system for us.

On day 2 you are supposed to log the total of your 5 times. I can see why you might want to track the 5 times separately though.

logsitall testing?

Post by wkpatton » Fri Apr 16, 2010 10:04 am

hello all - i'm bill patton - the logsitall guy. I've been seeing some simplefit logging and have also been working hard on improving the log interface and feature set. If any readers have feedback/suggestions or questions i'd be more than happy to try and answer them... please drop me a line at admin@logsitall.com

Here's what I just sent Bill:
Hello Bill,
I've had a few suggestions in mind, but didn't want to bother you as I didn't think SimpleFit users made up anything but a tiny part of your users.

Here are my suggestions:
1.
Please order the "SF Type" dropdown as follows:
Basic
Intermediate
Advanced
Tabata

99% of SF users are doing the basic workouts, so putting it at the top of the list makes sense. Making it the default selection would also be an improvement.

2.
Day 1 is always for 20 minutes (unless a user quits early). Would it be possible to have 20:00 inserted into the "Total Time(H/M/S)" fields as a default (but still editable value)?

3.
I notice that the legend on my log chart goes from A-Z. After Z there's no way for me to see the stats for that workout in the chart legend. Would it make sense to switch to numbers for the legend?

Thanks for a great resource.

Best regards,
Matt (cheapo)
