just finished L2D1. the extra psuch-up and squat somehow makes a diffrence. had to do mostly chin-ups cause of the elbow. i threw in a couple of neutral grips every now and again just to add some variaty.
managed 27 rounds - not too bad if i may say so myself.

nice work. Keep track of the elbow and re-hab it properly. It would suck to be out for 6-8 weeks with tendinitis.

thanx anubis - only chin-ups going forward, untill the elbow is healed properly.

nice work! it's nice to see someone else at the exact same stage (level/day) as me, who I can hopefully learn from and be motivated by. We'll keep each other accountable on workouts!

And me!

I'd echo the comments about not overdoing it, it'd be awful if you were out of action for a few weeks.

great norm, that's the spirit!!!

did L2D2 just now:

5 rounds of:

3 pull-ups
8 push-ups
13 squats

this workout was purely about form, although i kept an un-official eye on the stop watch just to see where i am (i did all five rounds in just under a minute each).

i still can't do pull-ups, so i had to resort to chin-ups. the last round was neutral grip and i felt my elbow playing up a bit. i realy don't know when the thing will be healed so that i can start doing pull-ups again.
although i did chin-ups, i did them all from a dead hang - absolute no momentum was used.
push-ups was done slowely with my stomach touching the ground at the bottom ROM.
squats was done with an abolute staright back, ATG.
the extra reps in push-ups and squats really worked my abs, which is GREAT!!!

looking forward to friday's D3. if i can post a time between 7 1/2 and 10 mins, i'll be satisfied.

I'd expect you to be closer to 5 mins on D3

Take it easy on the elbow though.

this morning was L2D3:

13 pull-ups
26 push-ups
26 squats

to be honest, i wasn't too impressed with my workout this morning. again (like what i did last week on D2) i compromised form for time, especially on the pull-ups. i didn't get my chim over the bar every time and i also didn't do a proper ROM by not going down all the way with arms streched.

pull-ups (actually chin-ups) were done in four sets: 6; 3; 2; 2.
push-ups were done in three sets: 13; 7; 6 (on L1 i did all 21 push-ups in one go - guess the extra pull-ups resulted in me only being able to do 13 now).
squats were done all in one go.

time: 3min's 6sec's

although the time is below 5 min's i'm not going to lvl up. my form in the pull-ups were of such a nature that, for the purist, i was actually cheating, so i don't think my time is a true reflection of the workout.
furthermore, this was my first week on L2 and it just doesn't sound right to move up a lvl after only doing the current lvl once.
next week is a rest week for me. i'll do L1, concentrating purely on form and not chasing any PR's.

unfortunately my elbow is not responding well to the treatment. i'm going for a sonar this afternoon - the physio would like to see what's going on on the inside.

you all enjoy the weekend!!!

Nice work Ruli.

I laughed when I read your comments as they're similar to what I just wrote on my L2D3 experience.

As for your elbow, sounds to be like you need to give it some proper rest.

Have a great weekend.

that's the idea. i enter week 9 today, which is a rest week. last week i thought of doing L1 as my active rest, but i'd rather just do some cardio this week - a bit of jogging, rope skipping, punch bag, etc. i don't wanna put any strain on the elbow in the form of pull-ups or push-ups. hopefully a whole week of rest will assist in the recovery process,
