seeing that it's my birthday today, i decided to create a flickr account so that i can share some pics with you all. click here to see some pics of me taken a short while ago. my wife took them from my camera phone. and no, i don't look so stupid in real life - i'm just not a photogenic type of person - honestly!!!!!!

thanx norman.

although my elbow is not 100% healed yet, i started exercising again yesterday - can't see myself going into a third week of no SF!!

L2D1
1 pull-up
3 push-ups
4 squats

the chin-ups were suprisingly easy. i say chin-ups cause i can't do pull ups yet. if i do chin-ups i've got no discomfort in my elbow. next week i'll start doing some neutral grips and see how it goes.
as surprisingly easy as what the chin-ups was, so surprisingly taxing was the push-ups!!! i realy struggled a bit with them.
squats posed no problems.

total rounds: 31

judging by this number, breaking the 5 min barrier on D3 might not be that far away!!!

Ruli, please be careful. I've tried the whole "coming back from injury before I'm fully healed" thing before and it just laid me out for longer when the injury flared up again.

Having said that, 31 reps! nice work. I'm sure you'll be sub 5min on D3.

i realise that now. although D1 went well, my elbow were a bit painfull during the week, si i've decided not to train at all. will rest week as well and maybe the week after that also, just to get enough rest on the elbow.
damn frustrating though!!!!

enjoy your guilt-free rest while you have it....while I'm glad i'm able to do my workouts and have been so consistent with them, there are definitely days where I am not looking forward to them and I just want to roll over in bed. But be patient and you'll soon be back!

Yup, you have to be patient. I injured my shoulder back in March and it gave me a devil of a time.

it's monday, which means D1 for for me.
as tempting as what it might be to start working out again, i will resist the temptation by resting this week as well. the elbow is making slow progress (hopefully it's not my imagination) so i'll give it another week of rest just to be on the safe side!
you all enjoy another fruitfull week of SF (have i mentioned how jeaulous i am!?)

I will definitely be jealous of you when my alarm goes off in the morning and I want to stay in bed for another half hour instead of exerting myself...

There is no shame in resting an injury. Working on it before time only prolongs the problem. Its tough, I know. But when your ready you'll be back on the horse 110%!

Progress is inevitable!

well, the elbow did show some good progress last week, untill i moved something in the house and agrivated it again. i'm so pissed off with myself it's not funny!!!!
the only way to keep me motivated is to read all your logs every now and again. i realy can't wait to get back into the swing of things, but i don't think it will be soon though.
