Week 4
L1D1 / 2012-01-23

I managed to eek out 41 rounds today. Did the first 4 pull-ups clean, kipped for 2 more, and then used assistance for the rest of them. I think for Week 5 and 6 I am going to work on doing negatives for as long as I can hold them and see if that helps kick me over the hump of doing all 10 pull-ups clean on L1D3.

Oh I also did my C25K run on Sunday. My performance wasn't great, 2.17 miles at a 10:11 pace. But this was Week 3 of doing it and it was the first week where you run for 3 minutes straight instead of the 90 second bursts. My endurance compared to my recovery needs some work, I am glad C25K was able to expose that for me. I have a run tomorrow, I will report back on how it goes.

41 Rounds! I like seeing the improvement. As for the C25K I just hit week 3 this week too and my distance suffered due to the extended running periods also. Time to get back out there today though and push through that :D

Don't know how you pump out a round in 30secs!!! Takes me 20secs each for push ups and pull ups!

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I am still actively pursuing my health and fitness and I feel great! I've just been doing Insanity so I didn't want to spam you guys with those workouts. My diet has finally changed and I recently ran in a 5K and was able to complete it in 33 minutes (not great, but getting there). I am down to 289 lbs, but it looks like I lost a lot more because I've been losing inches in my waist and neck. I have 3 1/2 more weeks of Insanity left. Thanks everyone for all the support it has really helped and kept me motivated. Sorry I dropped off like that, I will be here to support others again :)
