2.1 mile jog with 20 lbs vest 24:05. Not sure this is accurate cause this puts me at a 12 min per mile run. I don't generally run that slow on my worst days so gonna need to remeasure the run.

warmups are unchanged not gonna enter in all that unless I move up in weight.

Squat 185 lbs 3x5
Press 100 lbs 3x5 (barely got last rep)
Clean 115 lbs
1x2 failed 3rd rep
1x1 failed 2nd rep

obviously moved up too fast on clean. Need to review how cleans are done again. I'm upset because it definitely feels like I should be able to do the cleans as the weight isn't bothering me but I think I'm doing something wrong. Got a cramp in right trapezius during press too but don't think it affected the cleans.

same warmup
weight 191 lbs. gained 11 lbs since start 4 weeks ago. definitely noticed a bit of an increase in my gut that is not muscle. Due to increase in bad calories vs. just the milk and sticking with the meat and vegetable regimen. back on the wagon.

workout:
Squat 185 3x5
bench 165 3x5
Deadlift 205 3x5

Going to attempt a 20 lb jump next week on squat, 10 lb jump on bench, 20 lbs jump on deadlift. press and clean will adjust next week prn.

rest remained the same

workout

squat
205 lbs 3x5
failed 1st rep of 3rd set. feel like I should have gotten it up. just didn't do it. dropped weight to 195 and pumped out 5 reps

Press
110 lbs 3x5
failed on 3rd rep 1st set. was just too heavy. dropped to 105 lbs and failed on 3rd rep. dropped to 100 lbs and completed 5 reps. so try 105 lbs next one.

Clean
100 lbs 3x5

realized I was only doing a partial clean previously so they don't really count. Isn't that peachy?

completed. looks like I'm getting to the PF. I could have completed it Monday. Must stay focused

Bench
175 3x5
Thinking 185 lbs on Monday

Deadlift
215 3x5

Ok so I started out very low in weights with Riptoe but so far starting lifts to now:

Squat- 165--> 205 (40)
Bench- 145--> 175 (30)
Press- 85--> 110 (25)
Clean- 70--> 100 (30)
Deadlift- 185--> 215 (30)

hmm, well guess its steady across the board. Once I hit the PF we will see.

Riptoe week 5 weight 194

Squat 205 3x5 This was hard today but I finished. Having said that my knees were pretty wobbly and I couldn't keep them pushed out. Some crappy form today

Press 105 3x5 failed on 3rd set 4th rep. Found my working weight for press.

Clean 105 3x5 this was too easy today. breathing heavy but sure I could have done 110 no problem. see how it goes next week. I think this is a muscle memory issue more than a weight issue and once I can start nailing this it will go fine.

Decided on a lot of changes to workout for several reasons. Came across a different workout that seems to be more in line with my goals for gaining strength and over long term provides more stability for my shoulder. Plus I miss the metcons. So I'm gonna give it a try and see what happens.

3 pullups
5 pushups
8 squats

every minute on the minute for 30minutes

suprised at how hard this was. I could have upped the numbers and still completed so I wasn't fried at the end but still I was breathing hard. Originally planned to do it as rx'd until I realized that simplefit L8D1 is same reps and I could only complete 13 rounds as a pr in 20 min. If anyone asks Im gonna say I did

90 pullups, 150 pushups, and 240 squats in 30 minutes. Looks so much more intimidating that way heh

pushups 3x10

messed up the workout realized the bench should have been 160, 165, and 170. was too easy either way.

Relearned two things today.

I still suck at jumprope.
-practiced right and left leg jumping then alternating

the wheel of death still sucks
several reps of this

mostly practiced jump rope including double unders. total time was approx 30-45 minutes
