20/10/12
C25K W5D2
Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then:
Jog 8 minutes
Walk 5 minutes
Jog 8 minutes

24/10/12
L3D3 8mins
Definitely gonna have to repeat level 3. Had to jump up for the pull-ups after the first 9, and there was a lot of stopping and starting with the press ups and squats.

30/10/12
L3D1 25 rounds
Managed this easier than last time, but it was a killer. Practically left me a wreck for the next few days.

2/11/12
L3D2 interrupted after 9 minutes and 3 rounds
Thought I'd recovered enough to attempt Day 2, but it was not to be. Started hitting failure by the second round, decided not to push it. I'm going away for a week anyway and will probably only be able to do some running (quads permitting). I'll give level 3 another try when I get back.

4/11/12
C25K W5D2
Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then:
Jog 8 minutes
Walk 5 minutes
Jog 8 minutes

5/11/12
C25K W5D3
Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then jog two miles 21 minutes with no walking

10/11/12
C25K W6D1
Brisk five-minute warmup walk, then:
Jog 5 minutes
Walk 3 minutes
Jog 8 minutes
Walk 3 minutes
Jog 5 minutes

12/11/12
L3D1 28 rounds in 20 mins

14/11/12
25 minute run
I sort of lost my place on the C25K programme, and I couldn't be bothered to work out what I should be doing, so I skipped to week 7 and ran for 25 minutes. Had a bit of trouble with stitches and fatigue, so I didn't manage all of it without walking.

17/11/12
L3D2 22m 11s
This one took me a while because I decided to rest longer between sets in order to be able to do them without stopping and starting the whole time. First time I've managed that, though I don't know whether it's better than resting less and having to do the reps in chunks. I'll probably be repeating this level anyway. Pull-ups have gotten much much easier, I didn't have to contract my legs at all.

19/11/12
25 minute run
Still got a stitch, but not until later in the run. I walked less too.

20/11/12
L3D3 6m14s
A minute and three quarters better than last month, though I'd still like to get a better frequency of workouts going. Had to do assisted pull ups after the first 8 or so, and I did all three sets in fits and starts. Still, getting much closer to the 5 minute mark.

22/11/12
25 minute run
No stitch this time, and barely any walking. I think perhaps I wasn't letting enough time go by after eating.

23/11/12
L3D1 29 sets in 20 mins
4 more than last time, and it hurt less the next couple of days. Progress!

28/11/12
L3D2 19mins 49
Once again, I rested longer between sets in order to be able to do each one all the way through without stopping.

30/11/12
L3D3 4 mins 54
Barely, but I made it in under 5 mins :) Had to jump up for the pull-ups after the first 9 and did the press-ups in fits and starts, but I managed the squats in a single sequnce. Level 4 next week, woop woop!

2/12/12
28 min run
Still did a little bit of walking around the mid-way point, but it's still getting noticeably easier. I think when I get to 30 minutes I'll spend a while focusing on running continuously and more quickly.

3/12/12
L4D1 23 rounds
Whew, that was a real kicker. Absolutely bathed in perspiration. I didn't think that extra couple of press-ups and squats per round would make such a difference, but apparently they do. Some reading around has made me realise that I'm still cheating a bit on pullups - I have a bar of the in-the-doorway variety, and since I'm reasonably tall I stand flat-footed with my arms at a nearly 90 degree angle when I grasp it. So not ideal, but still better than the substitutes I was doing before. Time to start bending my legs behind me though I think, and eventually I hope to work up to L-hangs.

5/12/12
L4D2 - interrupted
I got as far as 3 rounds in 14 minutes, then had to pack it in cause I remembered something I was late for. Woops. Wasn't doing great in any case, I was really feeling L4D1. Decided to give myself a few days to recover.

10/12/12
L4D1 20 rounds in 20 mins
Tried starting level 4 again, taking it easier this time. Tried bending my legs a bit and hanging a bit lower on the pull up bar when I was able.
