Chongtxtx's Simplefit log

Postby chongtxtx » Mon Mar 24, 2014 1:49 pm

All right this will be rather long since I have been doing these workouts but haven't logged them here. I usually keep track of my workouts on the websites "log progress" function and my android simplefit app.

So my first workout was started on:
2/24/2014
L1D1
53 rounds
53 pullups, 106 pushups, 159 squats

2/26/2014
L1D2
2 min 35 seconds
10 pullups, 30 pushups 50 squats

2/27/2014
L1D3
1 min 1 sec
10 pullups, 21 pushups, 21 squats

2/28/2014
L2D1
50 rounds
50 pullups, 150 pushups, 200 squats

3/3/2014
L2D2
3 min 51 sec
15 pullups, 40 pushups, 65 squats

3/4/2014
L2D3
1 min 23 sec
13 pullups, 26 pushups, 26 squats

3/7/2014
L3D1
37 rounds
74 pullups, 111 pushups, 185 squats

3/10/2014
L3D2
4 min 59 sec
15 pullups, 50 pushups, 80 squats

3/11/14
L3D3
1 min 42 sec
16 pullups, 33 pushups, 33 squats

3/13/2014
L4D1
38 rounds
76 pullups, 152 pushups, 228 squats

3/14/2014
L4D2
5 min 52 sec
20 pullups, 60 pushups 100 squats

3/15/2014
L4D3
2min 13 sec
20 pullups, 41 pushups, 41 squats

3/19/14
L5D1
28 rounds
84 pullups, 140 pushups, 224 squats

3/21/2014
L5D2
7min 58 sec
25 pullups, 75 pushups, 130 squats

3/22/2014
L5D3
3min 17 sec
26 pullups 51 pushups pushups

3/24/14
L3D1
43 rounds
86 pullups, 129 pushups, 215 squats

So my last entry is where you go back a couple of rounds for the week to give your joints and tendons a break. It felt good to beat my previous number, and that was after a 3 mile run (I haven't run in about 8 months). All in all I really love the workouts they're simple and fast I can also do other stuff like yoga or walk in the morning. I am still gaining weight but I am sure that is because of my crappy diet, I just started fixing my diet today. I wish there was a spreadsheet to keep track of all this data or maybe be able to export from the app but eh. So all in all Great stuff. Have a good day everyone and keep up it up.
TOTALS to date:
593 pullups
1,215 pushups
1,808 squats

3/26/14
L3D2
4min 19sec
15 pullups, 50 pushups, 80 squats

So I am starting to come down with some sickness. I hope this doesn't throw off my training too much because I really want to go full force into Level 6 but hopefully I can feel better after the weekend. I have been following the no S diet since Monday and in 3 days have lost 5 lbs. I feel like I am heading in the right direction with this diet. I hope all of you are doing well and continually progressing towards your goals. Have a great day!

What sort of training had you done before simplefit?

Looking at your log the lower levels were a joke for your strength.

I just did L3 D3 and am 58 secs off at my first attempt, hopefully get there next week.

So I pretty much have always done calisthenics and other bodyweight exercises. But I wanted to make sure that I started from level 1 so I had a base to measure against. Plus there is no harm at starting at the bottom let me build up safely and make sure my form is good.

3/28/2014
L3D3

So I am still feeling a bit sick but I was able to beat my previous time. I hopefully will be 100% for my level 6 week. I hope all of y'all are doing well.

3/31/2014
L6D1
28 rounds
84 pullups, 168 pushups, 280 squats

So I didn't eat to well this weekend or sleep well so I was kind of psyching myself out when I went down to the garage to workout. Thankfully I just pushed through it all and got 28 rounds. I will take my rest day and get ready for the next workout. I am really looking forward to L6D3 I want to see how I perform with that workout. Hopefully I smash it. I hope all of y'all are having a great day.

This workout was tough but it felt good. I was breathing pretty heavy during the squats. I can't wait until the next workout should be a lot of fun. Good luck to all of yall.

4/4/2014
L6D3
5min 49 sec
32 pullups, 64 pushups, 64 squats

So where to begin? I am a little disappointed in myself, Was not able to get a good nights rest and I was still sore from the previous workout. I feel had I felt better I would have passed this level. But no problem I am sure I will get it next week. I am still a little drained with some sort of sickness.

The pullups had me a bit frustrated, last level I was able to do the 26 pullups without a break in the reps, this time I had to take a break at the 22 rep mark so that annoyed me. From that point it was all down hill. I am going to put in a lot of effort to eat good over the weekend so I don't gain any weight and keep on losing it. Sorry for the rambling I hope all of yall are having a great day and do well with your workouts.

4/8/2014

Well so lets see I am pretty proud of this workout even though I got the same amount of rounds as last time. When I got my 28th round I noticed I had about 20 seconds leftover where as last time I finished the 28th round with probably 1 second to spare. Also I slept like crap and ate horrible over the weekend because of birthday parties and such. So that means in spite of my crappy weekend health wise I still progressed. So once I start cleaning my diet up again which I will do today I should do even better on the judgement day for this week. I hope all of yall have a great day!

This workout felt really good. My pullups, pushups, and squats all felt smooth and strong no jerkiness. Definite improvement from the last L6D2 workout. I can't wait till my next workout. Have a great day everyone!

So I am super happy with this workout. The pullups and squats were tough but easier than last weeks, but holy crap were the pushups hard. I think it took me 5 sets to finish the pushups. All in all I am so glad I passed this week and cant wait for my next workout. Good luck to all of yall. And have a great day!

Nice job! How did you break up your 32 pullups? That's always the hardest part for me and I can't decide if it makes more sense to do more smaller sets (stopping each set before I burn out), or fewer larger sets (which might be quicker but risks totally frying my arms).
