I am astounded how many people I see in the gym doing 'half' pull-ups. I think I have only ever seen one other person doing them the way I do them, i.e. as described on simplefit: fully extending arms after each rep.
Why do people only come halfway down? Is it just for the ego, so they can complete more reps? Or is there some actual benefit to doing half pull-ups? Does everyone here come all the way down after each rep?
