1 cup frozen berries (awesome nutrient density)
1/4 cup pure whey or egg protein
1 table spoon olive oil (important, retards absorption to avoid insulin spike)

options:
nuts
mint
cinnamon (lowers insulin, huge anti oxidant)
ginger
nut oil
stevia

A little cantaloupe with blueberries is awesome for some reason IMHO

Would nuts work as a substitute for the oil?

I find that if I don't use oil, I can just rinse my blender out and it's clean, wheras if I use oil I have to get hot water and soap in there and scrub a little. Just looking to save a few seconds as I rush out the door to work.

Sure, some people soak them over night to make them more smooth.
