Introducing myself

Postby brenlorken » Thu Jul 19, 2007 4:07 am

Hello! I found this site after a friend of mine told me about crossfit and I did some research. I'm excited to start the program and am trying to talk my husband into doing this with me :D .

My name is Brenda, I'm almost 30 - in 11 days - and I'm a mom of 4 great kids. My husband is in the army and we're a pretty active family. We like to hike, bike, swim, chase after the kids at the playground, play soccer and football.

My goals right now are to lose the rest of the baby weight and get some of my strength and endurance back. My baby is now 6 months old. Because of some complications I spent 5 weeks in the hospital on bedrest. I started lifting when baby was 3 months old and then went to Oregon for 7 weeks to visit my family, so I'm pretty much starting over, again. I just got back from Oregon a few days ago and haven't had a chance to get to the gym (I have to workout at the gym, if I'm at home there is too much going on for me to get my workout in). I'm excited to start and know this workout is going to kick my butt!!

Welcome Brenda, it's fantastic that you manage to be a mother of four and find time to work out at the same time.
