Norman's Log

Post by Norman » Fri Mar 23, 2007 11:37 am

Hi everybody !

I started this program this week. I am a 34 years old male.
My objective is to lose some weight and be 'fit'.

21MAR2007-L1D1: 35 rounds
23MAR2007-L1D2: 3m28s

This is a *fun* workout that makes you look forward to the next one :)

Hey you ! Reading this message and wondering whether you should start : just do it right now ! You will have plenty of fun :) Well you might feel some pain in unexpected places like I did (do!) but it's worth it.

I would just add that I stretch afterwards, maybe it's just me but if I don't I feel all tight up the day after. I know this from experience...

Have fun !

Norman

Hi Sam ! Thank you, I appreciate :)

I have some experience with these exercises and I did some running these past weeks so it's not like I started from scratch.

Day 2 was almost frustrating after the exhausting first day !

I am looking forward to Day 3, I wonder if I'll be able to do all 10 pullups in one go...unlikely I would say. We'll see. I won't go to Level 2 before I manage to do that anyway.

Thanks again and have fun !

FYI you do not need to do all the pull ups in one shot just do them all before you move on to push ups, as long as you finish all the day three exercises in order and under 20 minutes you can move up a level if you choose.

Cheers

Hi. Seems to be that pull ups are a personal challenge for most people here. Welcome in the club

Ouch.....

Post by Norman » Mon Mar 26, 2007 11:50 am

26MAR2007-L1D3: 3m43s

I managed to do 5 correct pullups in a row, then had to stop and walk a bit, did 3 more good ones and finished with 2 not fully correct ones...
...then pushups and squats were easy.

10 pullups in a row ? I must have been dreaming :) It's way too soon.

Anyway, I will stay a bit more at Level 1.

Ouch again

28MAR2007-L1D1 : 41 rounds

being more familiar with the three exercises helps ! And I used the two types of pullups : palms facing up and down.

I has been another demanding workout. I am happy overall with my current level of energy and also because I have been stretching every day.

Have fun !

L1D2, second take

Post by Norman » Fri Mar 30, 2007 12:33 pm

30MAR2007-L1D2 : 2min39s

I used the same alternating technique for the pullups : palms up and down.

At this level at least, this is the easy day :)

Getting under 5 min must be *very* difficult as you progress though...

Kudos to the few guys who've already made it !

Thanks !

02APR2007-L1D3 : 2min07s

Pullups were easier this time, although I had to stop 2 or 3 times briefly...

I am switching to level 2 now.

Have fun !

L2D1

Post by Norman » Wed Apr 04, 2007 10:53 am

04APR2007-L2D1 : 36 rounds

I think I've used my energy more intelligently this time. For L1D1 I would sprint through the first rounds and really struggle by the end.

I have been stretching regularly and feel pretty good I would say !

L2D2

Post by Norman » Fri Apr 06, 2007 9:06 am

06APR2007-L2D2 : 2min57sec

I have noticed some improvement with the pullups. Pushups are still easy.

Now I wonder how Day 2 can be done under 5 min from Level 5, or even Level 4 with good form !?

I feel I am doing the pushups and squats as fast as I can already :)
