Boost your workout numbers!

Not exactly simple, but an interesting way to boost those workout numbers to super high levels:

In short, the article describes a DARPA research project that is working on increasing fitness levels by having the athlete cool off during breaks with a sort of refrigerated glove.

I've been trying a simpler method of running my hands under cold water during my 3 minute breaks between rounds. Not sure if it helps but it feels good.

Interesting stuff there was a tread on this on the PM.
Another interesting thing is contrast baths to enhance recovery
