Bri, what kind of a vest do you use? Is it something made for workouts?

My wife has some ankle weights. I wonder if those would do any good with pullups. Obviously not for squats or pushups.

Hiya, sorry for the late reply. Been too busy as of late. Kdo I bought a simple Walmart special vest with the 0.9 pound inserts. Nothin fancy.

Almost bought an 80 lbs vest from Play It Again Sports but it was a dollar per pound heh. Also don't believe I'm gonna need 80 lbs anytime soon.

Today L4D13

5:08 Son of a @#%%.

I was cruising through it too. Fatigued to quick on pushups I'm afraid.

Too close anyway. I'm gonna cheat and move up heh.

So close!

Use the rationalization that you'll have to move back if it takes longer than 30mins

Great! 16 rounds is fab.

You realise you've moved from L1 to L5 in less than four months?

1st two rounds with a 20 lbs. vest. So exhausted today doing this. Did the last 3 rounds without the vest. Almost quit after three but I finished.

Works pretty good though. I use it when Im running too and its hangin pretty tough

L5D3

Really felt the pullups today. I was breakin up the sets into 5's when I was on L4 but Im gonna try to bring it up to tens so my grip strength improves.

Forgot to log yesterdays run.

Not sure of distance since it was a dirt trail. Anyway

about 9:30 at 85% pace...
Then

1 minute sprints with 2 minute jogs for 3 rounds.

Got mud all over me. Scared the hell out of a deer and had a good time heh.

Forgot to log my events. I'm goin crazy.

Monday Sep. 24 was L5D1 - 18 rounds.

Tuesday Sep. 25 was one mile run with weighted vest - 08:58

Run wasn't too bad considering the heat and the vest.

Heh that would be a good T-shirt slogan. "Healthy Crazy"

been at the inlaws so I improvised. While everyone was wandering around the yard picking butterbeans I was finding different trees to do 3 round sets of pullups. Lost count on that one cause I kept getting interrupted but it probably wasn't more than 20 ish. Not sure.

Anyway went and ran an old dirt road that brought back some memories. Last time I ran that I had just met my future wife and was visiting her parents. *cough 22 years ago *cough.

Anyway ran for 12 minutes probably a 9 minute mile pace then did sprints. Went kinda like this:

Sprint one minute
Jog one minute
Walk one minute (walked to see how low I could get the heart rate and determine if I could sprint faster) {seemed to work}

rinse and repeat. Ran that for 4 rounds and ended up back where I started. believed I dropped the run time until I did the math. Interesting how you can run one way and feel like you only warmed up, change it, do the same distance, and be so much more tired. God I love this stuff!!

Nice and quiet too. Would love to move back to NC I think... heh.
