Man talk about a bad cold. I've spent a fair portion of the last six days unconscious. I've finally started to come out of it.

And the pull up challenge is Saturday. I'm hoping to recover well enough to be able to do this. I've missed a good week of working out which blows.

On the upside I got my "Starting Strength" !!! Woot!

L1D1

10 rounds

Dropped by three. This cold is still going but not half as bad as it's been. Thank god I was wrong on the pullup challenge. Its next Saturday. Hopefully I'll have pulled out of this mess by then. Sheesh.

Started a Strict zone today. Measuring everything out exactly and gonna see how it goes.

No workout today. Just greasing the groove a bit.

Pullup challenge is tomorrow. Feeling pretty good for it.

Well today was Eugene Allen's pullup competition. I felt pretty good going in but blew kipping right off the bat so did dead hang pullups. Hands gave out which sucked. I feel like I had more in me just couldnt hang onto the bar.

Anyway met my goal of straight 10. You would think I would be pumping out more doing level 7...

Next year better be a minimum of 20 dammit!

My job has taken over. Sooo many hours working. I've been working and sleeping. I hope this slows down. My workout has gone to nil!

You have worked very hard and made huge progress that you do not want to lose, balance is important and if you do not make time for self maintenance it will impact the rest of your life including work.

My 2 cents

Cheers

Thanks Kevin I appreciate that. I haven't stopped I'm just having a hard time maintaining consistency with the silly season and work.

Found a really cool workout though heh.

My kids got a Wii for Xmas and they were playing a bowling game on there. Well essentially the game has a training thing where you try to knock over as many pins as possible and each set it adds a bunch more pins. the very last set is 91 pins.

I challenged both my boys to play and the challenge was that for every pin you left standing you had to do an equal amount of pushups. So if your set was 10 pins and you only knocked over 5 you had to do 5 pushups.

It was very comical but we got a good workout in. My wife thought we were nuts of course but you gotta get it in where you can heh.

Have a very good holiday season everyone!!

I've played that game and that would be a killer workout at some points! Good idea though! I feel you on the work thing, but my outcome was a bit different. :) More info in my thread.

sheesh Im embarrassed to post. this is what i get for slackin. tried to do "Cindy" today which is our L8D1.

4 rounds. was into it about 9 minutes and I got so exhausted I couldn't go. I can't hardly type now. I got tired right off the bat. I completed the first round in good form and maintained that but the fatigue just shot through the roof.

Must keep going and not let anything interfere with this.

Ok good day today. Found out son is joining track. That'll be some good competition for my runs.

We did the intervels of 1 minute run 2 minute jog (think ill call it 1,2 intervels) 3 rounds with 5 minute warmup and cooldown jog.

We completed 1.5 miles after the 3 rnd and into the 2nd minute of the cool down.

So it was somewhere around 14 minutes.

I tried the POSE on this one and dam that is hard to get down. I plan to have my kids film the run so I get it down really well. I'd like to bring my time down so if I ever test on the mile and a half I go below 10 minutes.
