Thanks. Not really resting. 2 days of 2 hr core workouts with the physical therapist is not really resting. I'm considering doing a tabata interval on my rower this Saturday. Will post my distance when I do.

After a week off from simplefit I decided to start back at L2:
7May2007 L2D1 36 rounds, 426 cals, maxHR 185 avgHR 170

jumping pull-ups w/ burpee between push-ups and squats. This was a great high intensity workout. I tried lying down to rest after the 20 minutes. It seems as though my heart rate did come down sooner than if I "walked it off" as I usually do. I'm interested to learn how others experience it.

Some performance insights and a scoring example from Mark Twight:

1. Lying down between exercises lowers HR faster than standing, sitting or walking, indicating better recovery in the short 60 second rest.

Mark trained the cast of 300

17May07 L3D2 4:36
19May07 Didn't do simplefit day 3. Instead I took an hour of kettlebell instruction & training.

21May07 L4D1 25 rounds, added 20 (10 each arm) kettlebell swings at the end (15Kg kettlebell).

L4D2 10:30 w/ 6 22 Kg KB cleans added at the end (3 each arm) for good measure.

L4D3 16:53 w/ 20 15Kg KB snatches added at the end (10 each arm)

Will cycle back to L2 next week I think.
