Try Hoster 's log

Postby Tryhoster » Thu Feb 04, 2010 10:08 am

HI, i am new to the forum but not to the website. I found it almost a year ago but always missed a pullup bar or something similar.
Some months ago i bought an indoor bar and started training, then i remember wanting to try using this website log function and training system and registered here.

I watched the levels and decided to try L4D3 to see if it was right....

well it was more difficult that i imagined :P

13' 59" not a fantastic time, but still enough to think that L4 could be the right level to start with.

i'll post again with the result on L4D1 for monday

Week 1
Day1 19
Day2 6:43
Day3 9:41

more than 4 minutes less on Day3. Way to go!

Another round of Level 4 for Week 2:

Week 2 L4
Day1 22
Day2 6:04
Day3 6:44

Another nice improvement on the time for D3! Almost 3 minutes less.

But L5 is still 1:44 too far ;)
Maybe next week, who knows :D

Most of the time is wasted on the PullUps (i do full dead hang chinups and the last ones are crazy difficult), i'll train a bit more on them after posting this...

Thank you for the support guys :)

And now the weekly report:

Week 3 L4
Day1 24
Day2 7:25
Day3 5:02

The time increase on day 2 in due to the fact that i don't care anymore of the speed of day 2 but focus primarily on form. I still take note of the time only to have something to put in the log.

You can imagine my disappointment at the end of the day3 workout...
a big and loud "DOH!"
those 2 seconds are the time it took to stand up after the squats, take a breath and reach the stopwatch :(

i know the feeling all too well!!!
depending in what mood i am, i will disregard those two sec's - but that doesn't happen very often though!!!!

Forced week of complete rest due to a difficult wisdom's tooth extraction and subsequent pain and swollen cheek :(

See you next week :P

Back on track with bad numbers and a lot of improvement to do again...

Week 4/5 L4
Day1 26 rounds -New personal record, 2 more than last week.

But it was a small joy knowing i had to remove a tooth from inside my jaw bone in just a few hours :D

So.... After a week on antibiotics and painkillers...
(you should have seen my swollen face lol)

Day2 7:02 - Dont misunderstand the time. Form, especially on squats was terrible.

And so the judgement day wasn't kind to me.
Day3 9:07

Feels like having to start all over again :(

Especially after the 5:02 of 2 weeks ago it really sucks

But i haven't lost motivation, see you next week with a terrible progress again :P
