L3D1-20 rounds
was pleased i was able to get 20 rounds in. that is a significant increase in the amount of pullups compared to L1 and L2.
pullups still the weak link. had to alternate grips(pullup, chinup, palms in) and have been doing them in not strict form (kicking legs down on last inch or so)
Can't decide if i love or hate D1

did L3D2 today. pullups are getting easier. pushups were actually a little bit of a challenge! part of it may be i changed my hand position after reading this article: http://articles.elitefts.com/articles/t ... e-push-up/
hopefully will only be on L3 a week or 2.
forgot to post that time was 5'14"

L3D3 took 7'59" must say i was very dissapointed in how long it took, was really hoping it would be at least close to 5'. of course i did feel a bit week today.

L3D2-25 rounds. better than last week by five. came up short on a few pullups. for the first time in this i am really pumping sweat.

edit:it was L3D1 not D2!

L3D2 5'10" only 4 sec faster than last week but cut the rest time between sets by about 30 seconds.

this is the key to progressing through the lvl's john.

as kevin says:
Speed should not come from fast movements, but rather from less rest between exercises


after all, this is a fitness program.

tried L3D3 yesterday and it was an absolute failure! not sure what is wrong but on pullups i would feel serious pain where my abs fastin to my rib cage. I quit at 13 pullups. I think i need to work on form. I realized I am combining leg raises with the pullup to help cheat my way up. I also think it is about time for a rest week. Trying to decide if i should lay off pullups completley or just go back to level one for the rest week. regardless i will wait untill tuesday to resume. that will give me three days of rest.

after than a longer than expected lay off i started with a "rest week" dropped back 2 levels to L1D1. did 35 rounds. am amazed at how differnt it was from the 1rst time in which i did l1d1 in which i only did 15 rnds! that was only 6 or so weeks ago. this time the limitting factor was much more cardio related than muscle related. I must have gained substantial strength and muscle endurance in the last 6 or so weeks. will finish a week of L1 then go back to L3.

that's exactly how i also felt doing L1 as a rest week after 3 weeks on L3

rest week L1D2- 5'06" total including rest. I did not bother to rest much if any between sets so i just set the timer and did the 5 rounds.

wow, cant beleive i missed a week! went to L3D1 today, only got 16 rounds in as my 30 son woke up abotu 15 minutes in. oh well, the pullups are definately getting easier.
