Starting SimpleFit today, on level 1. It's surprisingly difficult but then again, I'm not terribly fit either. If any of you have some advice on whether I should take breaks or any specific nutritional advice, I would gladly appreciate it!

Day 1 / 1st Exc -
14 Rounds, Extremely tired at the 10 minute mark. Minute break at 11:00

Day 2 / 1st Exc -
~6 Minutes, will probably use my laptop to time it next time or just buy a stopwatch, hah.

Day 3 / 1st Exc -
3:55. Week has been pretty spread out just from the soreness. Trying to tighten it up.

14 rounds is a good start, keep it up.

For Day 1 I just take breaks as needed (when I'm winded). Sometimes I try to set a goal ahead of time and work towards that with my eye on the clock, or else I'll set a goal partway through.

My other advice is to rotate between pull-ups and chin-ups. I also alternate inside and outside grip to mix it up. Unless you are really strong at pull-ups, then you can ignore that.

I echo everything dolem has suggested. When I started I took it at my own pace, take two days or more of rest if you need it to recover for the next day. Nutritionally, cover your basis and make sure that you're feeding those growing muscles as they need it.

Is it normal for me to be this sore 2 days after? I can feel the soreness subsiding and I planned to do day 2 today but I just don't think it would be a good idea to workout while relatively sore. I assume this is Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness because I haven't been working out until now.

Actually its a very good idea to work out. There are studies out there that show that repeating the activity will reduce the soreness in a shorter period of time.

It is important to learn the difference between general soreness and the kinds of overuse that can lead to injury. It is important to be a little careful when you are just starting out. Being careful about form is also critical for staying injury free. The very most important thing is doing it in a way that works for you and that can keep you motivated.
