vbm's goals
Hi All,
I am 42, 6'4" 235lbs. Not looking to lose too much weight. I need to get back into shape. I have been "meditating" on the crossfit site. Never did a WOD since I knew I would get injured or discouraged - so I was glad to find this site to help me gear up. I'd like to try and get to the crossfit WOD in a year, but I'm gonna let my body tell me when.

I was shocked. I guess that the "no expectations" with the light week opened me to the possibility.
Will build an outdoor bar - 4x4s (12ft) 5.5 ft bar with flanges. Needs to be at least 9.5 ft off the ground - I reach 8.5 flat-footed (guess why I was a middle hitter....). I really feel like adding the kipping method as an alternative will help me progress even more.
BTW - thanks for the body row suggestion.
WOOHOO this feels good.

I am compiling my WO log to enter the data into the new tool. I am getting the benefit of looking at my older posts. I am so pleased with the way this is going - in only a month and a half. I advise everyone to do this - read over your posts and think about where you were!
I have the task now to not feel too much of a sense of accomplishment. I have the bad habit of giving myself the finish line when there's really never suppose to be one. Not only should I focus on the journey - I should realise there is no "destination."
Luckily there's a crowd of people in here ahead of me on the path. This helps me see a goal that continues to move.

New goal = new focus.
I am doing all of L1 with full pullups. Now my goal is do be able to do them without rest.
So, short term goal: reduce rest in L1D1 to 0.
Long term goal: do L1D3 with no rest.
Current weight 245
Current BF% using tape 17.5%
Current attitude: I AM AN ANIMAL GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
