Your blog made me laugh. I moved back to Toronto from South Texas this year and your line about it being 98 degrees and thinking it's not hot out was right on the money.
PS: I've been a rower for 20+ yrs. Along with gymnasts and Oly lifters -- we know blisters! The best thing I have ever used for blisters/calluses is vitamin E. Before you go to bed, bite open a capsule, rub it all over your blisters and it will harden up. Seems counter intuitive.. but it works.
