Pull up problems.

Postby Cass » Thu May 03, 2007 10:31 pm

Hi.

A friend showed me to this site, as I am trying to loose about 25-20 kilos. I have my diet down pat, but need to work on toning up a bit. SO far in the last three weeks I've lost 3 kilos.

I live near the beach and go for a walk as often as possible.

After having a look through the work out I think its a really great idea, as its stuff I can ust do at home.

My only problem is that I have nothing to do pull ups or body rows on. There are no poles in my house.

Is it possible to do something else, that will acheive similar results with out having to go buy one of those bars that goes across the door way?

Thanks
Cass

Hiya,

I have a door gym and like it also. I went all out and made a pull-up bar in my back yard in the hopes that I hit a muscle-up someday. I think Im going to hook the rings up if I can avoid destroying my garage ceiling in the process. Gonna have my 15 year old use his mechanical mind and help me with it. heh.

Hey everyone. I found a slightly cheaper place to buy the Creative Fitness Door Gym at eDiets.com

http://www.ediets.com/store/index.cfm?productid=7178&category=81

With shipping it's something like $48.37. I'm a New York resident and EverythingFitness.com (linked in a previous post) was going to charge me $4.12 sales tax.

hello guys, im new to the site.

Just curious if any of you guys use your door gym on a metal door frame as opposed to the recommended wooden door frame.

Also, has anyone heard about this door gym http://www.amazon.com/Power-Trainer-Pul ... 413&sr=1-1. Probably a knock off, but its cheaper! :D

Hey - welcome!

I use the door gym on a wood frame. I think it will be better on a metal frame. It needs to have an edge to hang on - but when you are actually on the bar, the leverage holds it in place.
