Beans
Are beans Ok to eat on the simplefit plan? I really enjoy a good chili on occasion.
I think you would probably see better results cutting fat filling your carb needs from vegetables and fruit.

I also enjoy beans in my diet and use them as a source of protein by combining them with other foods (since they are an incomplete protein source on their own). I've only recently switched from regular weightlifting to simple/crossfit training but I haven't quite switched my diet over to what is recommended with crossfit, so I still sneak beans in once in a while

Agreed. I'm by no means a vegetarian so I get plenty of protein from other sources, but I thought, based on articles that I've read, that by combining beans with the proper combination of foods you could slightly increase the bioavailability of the protein present. I've been reading up on this and it appears that this may be a myth. Thanks for setting me straight.
