Pushups too easy?

Try orienting your arms at a 45 degree angle, ie elbows closer to your sides. I had never heard this before and have still not seen hard data on this but it is supposed to be easier on your rotator cuff.

It will work much more triceps this way too, which can be a good thing.
If this then gets too easy have your arms tuck right against your side. Thats how they teach them in gymnastics becuase there very hard and look neatest.

I read this idea for pushups posted somewhere recently: use an bicycle inner tube around your shoulders (ala a resistance band) to add resistance...

This is how a friend taught me to do them and I haven't looked back since I started. They were a bit damaging to my ego at first but then I remembered that my ego had never done anything positive for my physique in the first place.

In high-school gym almost everyone did the T-styled pushups because they were so much easier, and looking back I think it's shameful that we were allowed to do that.
