Is it ok to run on your off days?

For some reason I've got all this energy. It's not like me, really. But will it hurt my progress if I go for a 30 minute jog/run a-la the couch-potato-to-5k-runner program?

Sure just listen to your body, you probably have allot of energy because your metabolism has sped up to you will be burning allot more energy 24/7. Just be sure not to overdue it now that your BMR is up you will see steady progress as you body spends more energy recovering muscle tissues post workout. No need to do cardio unless it is fun.
