Don't you need to use two towels? If I use one then my hands are really close together in the center of my chest.
I think I need to use two, hold one with each hand at shoulder width apart...

Is this what other people do?

I use a long towel. That way, I can do more variation each rep - wide/narrow.

L1D2 - as standard, with body rows subbed

6:50

Did some more pressups and core work at the end...

Still not completely happy with the body rows but for the last round I found a better setup in the space I have...

L1D3 - subbed 3x body rows - quite a sharp angle I think - I end up at about 45deg at the top.

Quite pleased with this - still a lot of work to go with pullups though.

Was in two minds about moving up a level before getting pullups sorted out and doing day 3 stuff broken into fewer sets, but decided not to worry and I think the extra volume will do me good...

L2D1 - 23 rounds (3 x body rows)

(which is the same as when I first did L1D1, although then I was doing negatives for the pullups)

L2D2 - Strength day

replaced this with weights... really want to build up technique on core lifts with a view to doing crossfit one day and also getting stronger quicker...

So:
back squat 5x5 20kg
overhead press 5x5 20kg
deadlift 5x5 20kg
dips 5x5 (4x5 + 4.5 really - missed the last rep of last set) 20kg assistance

stretching...

Starting with empty bar weights to build technique etc. dips were the only set that were really challenging although overhead press is getting close...

Was thinking of trying to do 3 days on 1 day off, again like crossfit, with day2 as above but I think that might be too much for me at the moment...
perhaps
sf day3, weights, rest day, sf day1, rest day ... repeat

i'll see how I go...

I am shopping for an Olympic bar. I want to begin practicing the proper techniques required for crossfit soon. This will NOT be weight training for me. So I intend to just throw the practice in as much as it is convenient. I want perfect form first.

L2D1 - 27 rounds...

Subbing 3 x body rows at quite sharp angle as before.

Back after taking my rest week completely off and working on handing in my dissertation. Then I had a twinge in my shoulder for a while - I'd tried to do grease the groove type pull up attempts during the week. Seems OK now though... Quite pleased that there was a definite improvement after my time off.

I think I came up with a scheme of doing Simplefit day 1 and day 3 each week, along with two weight sessions (like starting strength/stronglifts.com beginner program). I'm going to make an effort to get more protein in my diet as well and we'll see what happens.
