    hello everyone!

    i’m new here at simplefit, and am really excited about this nes program. I’m a 16 year old, 127 pound 5ft9 (177 cm, 58 kg) young man and I’m joining this program to go from skinny to fit. I don’t want to be like a body builder, simply be in good shape. despite my skininess, i am able to do 10 pull ups, 80 squats and 25 push ups. I play tennis regularly. As well as doing this program, i want to do some “intensive” swimming (ie, not cardio, but short sets of sprints, to build muscle). I realized last week that I was actually severely undereating, as I regularly skip breakfast. my total daily calorie intake is around 1400 kcal maximum, since i only eat in large amounts once or twice a day. I know that I need loads of protein, vegetables and carbs. changing my diet will be my greatest challenge, as you know it’s hard to change bad habits. i hope that i will be able to gain lean weight fairly quickly, thanks to this wonderful community. see you on the forums![/list]

    I’ve had a lot of success with following the Zone diet. I try to get as close to Paleo as I can, but really focus mainly on the Zone balance of protein/fat/carbs. Kevin (site creator/admin) is very knowledgeable about “intermittent fasting.” Your lite/no breakfast might work for you if you fine tune it ask him about it. also go to the links page and read about it there.



    hey im 14 and have about the same height as you, but im about 8 lbs heavier. im also kinda skinny but i am also fit(Ex. faded 6pack, 25 straight pullups on good days)

    i was about 125lbs two months ago, then started to eat even more chicken, fish, and lean steak. I also did less long distance cardio and worked out 10-12hrs a week. there are probably better ways to get bigger but this is working fine for me plus i still get to eat my favorite food. 😆


    so I’ve been lurking around doing some measurements, my body fat is just below 12%, which leaves me, as you have guessed, with a “fairly small” muscle mass. I’m going to start my progress log: I started a week ago and I’m already up 2.5 pounds! work in progress. My goal weight would be around 70+ kg, so thats’s around 150-155 pounds. yey!
