First day trying this, here’s how it went:

    Ran for 20 minutes

L1 D1- made it 10 reps, took me about 5 minutes (I knew there was no way I could do pull ups for 20 minutes). Stopped because there was no way I could do more pull ups. Not sure if I’m doing the squats right as they seemed very easy. I alternated which direction my hands were for my pull ups.

I’m 5′ 9″, ~155 pounds, and I’ve always had a bit of a round belly, and I’m going to try this workout and make an effort to improve my diet substantially to try and get some abs and upper body strength. I played soccer for a long time and ran cross country in highschool, and I’m not in terrible shape but I think I’m getting to the point where it’s now or never (I’m 19). I’m not too insecure, but I want to see if I can do it. If anyone sees this and has some tips/advice, I’d love to hear it.

    Great job so far.

Only thing I would add, just my opinion though, is to not stop early, even if you cannot do any more pullups. Try negatives if you can, or body rows, or even static hold for a few seconds. As long as you can keep moving forward, it will help.

Took two days off because I was super sore.

L1 D2- took 4:44, once again struggled with the pull-ups (as expected). Ran for about 30 minutes beforehand.

So I took a week off due to the weather.

I think I’m going to start keeping track of my mileage here, too.

Ran for 35 minutes, went just over 4.5 miles

L1 D1- 21 sets. Very surprised with how much I’ve improved, I couldn’t even do 10 real pull ups a couple of weeks ago (all 21 today were full pull ups). I think I’ll try moving up to level 2 next week.

ran for 35 minutes, ended up going just over 4 miles.

    L2 D2- 5:37

This is the first time I’ve done L2 knowing you’re supposed to stop the clock and rest between sets.

    ran 4 800’s. Times were 2:55, 3:05, 3:08, 2:49. First time I’ve done non-400m intervals in a long time, was a lot harder than I was expecting.

    L2 D3- 5:42. Let me just say… ouch.
