    Started L1D1 tonight; 17 sets. I’m 46, 6’1″, 210 lbs., not extremely overweight.

    The pushups and squats were easy, but the pull ups were the deal breaker. I was able to do one, but the rest were subs (jump up and try to let down slowly), so I was doing three of those per set. I predict much soreness tomorrow.

    I did a few sets of dips afterwards. I like those and don’t want to cut them out.

    welcome to SF davarm. don’t despair, before you know it, you’l be able to get “rid” of the subs and do normal pull-ups, or at least chin-ups to start with.

    As predicted, I was very sore after Day 1. Had to wait three days to do L1D2, which I completed in just under six minutes (5:59 to be exact).

    I was still pretty sore today and couldn’t do one pull up, so I had to do six negatives every set. Instead of jumping, I used a stool to get to the starting position, then lowered myself as slowly as I could. Also, I alternated between pull up, chin up, and side grips.

    L1D3 in 5:18. 1 regular pullup and 27 negatives, mixed between pullup, chinup, and side grip.

    I will be repeating level 1.

    I’ve had a cold and chest infection, so I had to take a few days off, but felt good enough on Xmas day to start L1D1 again with 26 reps. The first chin-up was full, but I did 3x negatives for the remaining, alternating grips every set.

    L1D2 today.

    Set 1: 1 full chinup, 3 negative pullup grip, 6 pushups, 10 squats

    Set 2: 1 full chinup, 3 negative chinup grip, 6 pushups, 10 squats

    Set 3: 1 full chinup (barely), 3 neg side grip, 6 pushups, 10 squats

    Set 4: 6 negative w/pullup grip, 6 pushups, 10 Squats

    Set 5: 6 negative w/chinup grip, 6 Pushups, 10 Squats

    Total time 4:56

    L1D3 in 4:12.

    1st two chinups were full, followed by 24 negatives, alternating grips.

    Moving up to Level 2.

    Happy New Year all! Nice party at the house last night with some old friends who I haven’t seen in awhile. Probably had a couple of beers too many, but that didn’t stop me from L2D1 today, with a total of 27 rounds. I did full chinups on the first two; the rest were negatives (x3) with alternating grips. I’m feeling the extra burn with the additional pushup and squat.

    L2D2 today.

    Set 1: 2 full chinups, 3 negative chinup grip, 8 pushups, 13 squats

    Set 2: 1 full chinup, 6 negative pullup grip, 8 pushups, 13 squats

    Set 3: 1 full chinup, 6 negative side grip, 8 pushups, 13 squats

    Set 4: 1 failed chinup, 8 negative side grip, 8 pushups, 13 Squats

    Set 5: 9 negative w/pullup grip, 8 Pushups, 13 Squats

    Total time 6:38

    Completed L2D3 in 5:31 last night.

    2 complete chinups, one failed chinup, then 32 negatives with alternating grips. 26 pushups and 26 squats were no problem.

    I don’t see myself moving up until I can do at least 4-5 full chinups. I did the routine last night non-stop, going as fast as I could while keeping good form.

    L2D1 – 29 rounds. Did full chinups the first three rounds. The rest were negatives.
