3 pull ups, 5 squats, 5 pushups, 2 pull ups, 5 squats, 5 pushups, …. until I was done?
If you did that, you’d essentially be doing Day 1 all over again which is not the point of Day 3. The way I always looked at it is Day 1 is focused on overall endurance over time. Day 2 is a focus on strength and form. Day 3 is a test day focused on speed, power output, intensity and localized endurance.
