I have always been under the assumption that the clock is constantly running on Day 3 workout. So if you want to get under 5 minute window, you want to rest as little as possible correct?

Or do you stop the clock if you stop to rest? It makes sense that it keeps running to push yourself to the brink, but I want to make sure I am doing this correctly.

you want to be able to do the most work in the least time and sometimes rest helps to facilitate that, but all rest on day 3 is on the clock.

The clock is running – even when you rest.

That doesn’t mean you can’t take rests as needed. In fact, it should be the rests that keep you from leveling up. I find it important to measure the rest times so I can aim to improve (shorten/remove) them.

is this a good idea for D3?

Do Pull-ups to failure. For example on level 4, I can do 10 of the 20 pullups in one go, then I have to rest.

At that point can I do some pushups, then fill in the remaining pullups?

So basically, do pullups to failure, then pushups to failure, then more pullups to failure, then pushups or squats… etc.

Right now, I am completing all reps of each movement, before moving on to the next movement, but I am thinking about doing the above.

on day 3 you should complete all pull-ups then all push-ups then all squats
