    My goals:

    to do the splits – without twisting too much!

    headstand lifting legs without ‘jumping’

    stable handstand, looking forward not down, without wall

    headstand to handstand


    so far I am about 10cm from the floor, and twisted

    jumping legs up to handstand

    handstand against the wall, looking forward

    not a chance just yet (scared) of pushing into handstand.

    Your goals include a few things we don’t usually see around here. But that shouldn’t stop us from making you feel at home!

    The SimpleFit program will make you stronger and help with your gymnastics, but that’s about all I can offer, not being very gymnastic at all, myself.

    I think the Gymnastic Bodies forum might be a good resource for you.

    And CrossFit has a fair selection of gymnastic videos.


    Hey there!

    I’ve been working on getting myself upside down too – handstands and headstand – and I can say that doing SimpleFit has definitely helped me with the strength (core stability and shoulders and whatnot) to be able to execute handstands… I’m not all the way there yet, but I’m practicing like crazy and SF has been the foundation.

    Hi! It’s nice to see someone else who has goals on the more gymnastic side

    I’m trying to get into the splits aswell, what stretches are you doing?


    I was wondering when you talk about going from headstand to handstand; what exactly is the starting position? Classic headstand or tripod?
