    So I figured I would introduce myself. i am a 37 yo male. I played hockey, soccer and baseball as a kid. I spent most of my childhood in sports. About one month ago i was 216 lbs and 5’11”. I started the zone and doing the crossfit warmup. I am pleased to say that i am down to 204 lbs.

    I started running again, ohhh maybe 10 years ago. On and off, well maybe it was more off than on 😳 About 3 years ago i decided i wanted to run a marathon. So i signed up for the marine corps marathon in DC. A few weeks before the race, i sustained an injury that prevented me from running until the day of the marathon. it was too late to pull out, so i decided that i would just do it and see what happens. finished in 5.5 hrs. not bad considering it was one of the hottest days and there were a lot of people that needed to be carted off.

    After that, the running really got sporadic. I decided last year to start crossfit. i scaleld the WOD’s back considerably and really enjoyed it. I was also training for a triathalon. Completed that and decided i wanted to play ice hockey again.

    So now here i am, playing ice hockey and getting into better shape, which will help me play better. i needed something to ease me back into crossfit and this seems perfect.

    who knows what this year will hold, but i know that i plan to be stronger and quicker, because of this.
