Hey folks. I’m going jump on this Simplefit train. A little about myself:
Size: 5’10”, 175lbs
Location: New York City
Other Exercise: Ashtanga yoga ~3x/week for the last couple years. So far it seems like that has been helpful for pushups, but not so much for pullups or squats. Oh well!
Progress this week:
L2D1: 24 rounds
So I’ll be starting level 3 this week, and I’ll likely be stuck there for a while. So far pushups were no problem, I’ve been messing around with pullups without a progression so those were at least ok, but the squats were agony since I’ve really never done one before. I almost screamed when I sat down later in the evening on D1. Excited to see how the progression goes!
Free lunch is obviously over, there’s no way I’ll get through the next level first try. Interestingly, squats have almost immediately become the easiest part of this… I guess I just wasn’t used to the soreness, but the strength seems to be there. Now it’s all about the pushups!
