    Hello all

    Just started the programme. Well, I finished week 1:

    Me: 6’4” ~250 lbs, Used to be athletic (FMA, MMA, Gym), but that has gone the way of the dodo..Have now aquired a gut.

    D1: 24 reps, pullups a problem, but changed grip.

    D2: Total time 3:20

    D3: 2:52

    moving on to level 2 on monday.. :)

    To the sitecreator: Thanks for making an accessible programme that does not require monstrous fitness to begin with.

    Did L2D1 today. 23 reps and am now completely wasted.

    One question: Is it cheating to change grip for the pull-ups each set?

    And like many others have said: The extra pushups hurt.

    It’s up to you. Mixing things up is good.

    I used to do chin-ups, then switched to pull-ups, because they were harder.

    My numbers took a hit for a few weeks, but after that I was back on track.

    Thanks for the welcome and the advice :)

    There are a lot of inspirational stories on this board which is why I’ve ended up registering and starting up the programme after a while of lurking. Many thanks to those that share their stories and help Newbies(N00bs if you like:P) like myself get started.

    Anyway: L2D2:

    1: 47’99

    2: 47’88

    3: 52’28

    4: 45’13

    5: 46’36

    Grand total: 239’64

    Well L2D3 today..

    Did all pullups(and proper ones too) but broke them up in sets of 5-2-2-2-2.

    The Pushups and Squats were a breeze.

    Total time 4:39.

    It looks like I’m good to go to lvl 3, which I think might take some time to pass.

    Just in case: Am I correct in assuming that it’s ok to break up the pullups into sets and still progress or should I stick with lvl 2 ’till I can crank out 13 reps?

    The thing to remember is to complete all the pull-ups before moving on to the push-ups.

    Yay!!

    Decided to play around even though it’s a rest day and apparently I’m now able to do 6 consecutive pullups…It’s been some years since I was able to do that!!

    It seems that my pullup progression continues:D.

    Today was L3D1: 25 reps. About 2/3 pullups rest neutrals and chins.

    Also my wife told me she thinks I’m less soft to hug :D.

    I’m so gonna keep going!!

    L3D2 today

    total time 233 seconds. Fastes 41,2 slowest 51,5. Crapped out on squats for some reason. Probably because I’ve been riding my bike today (for two short rides into town and back). That was pitiful. The upside today was that The pullups went well.

    L3D3

    My streak ended. Total time was 5:05.. so close :(. I did feel slow and heavy during the excercises today so I wasn’t surprised when I didn’t make the time, but I was disappointed as I had a good feeling before I started. Anyway…Rest week coming up and then I will improve! I just turned 31 (on the 27th) and I’m gonna be fitter than ever when I turn 32 a year from now!

    Rest Week

    L1D1 :44 Reps all pullups…Felt heavy and slow, but nice result.

    Rest Week

    L1D2: Total time 183,8 seconds with the fastest round at 34,58.

    Still feeling slow and heavy…Could be from painting our old apartment over the last few days. Hoping for good temp when it’s back to lvl 3 after the weekend.

    Last day of the rest week

    L1D3 : 2:10. Felt pretty good even though the pullups were not done on bar but on some rough rafters as we’re out of town.

    Now to pick out the splinters :P

    Yesterday was L3D1

    It felt pretty good after the rest week and I got 30 Reps :) New PB and a nice workout. Pullups were better than ever.

    Lokking forward to D3 and trying to get the last 5 seconds off.
