    Just started today (5/4/10)

    I am 180 lbs, 5’9″, 43 years old

    did 36 cycles on level 1 day 1.

    sweating my but off!!!! :P

    forgot to post the substitutions for the pull-ups. Completed regular pull-ups for the first 10 cycles, then thru a towel over the bar and pulled myself up from about 20 degree angle to about 75 degree angle. I did three subs per cycle

    L1D2 (2 pull ups, 6 push ups, 10 squats)

    35.30 s — pull ups, no subs

    43.70 s — neutral grip pull up (hands facing each other), no subs

    32.04 s — pull ups, no subs

    32.17 s — chin ups, no subs

    33.64 s — Neutral grip, no subs

    about 2 min between sets

    Surprised myself since I did not use substitutions. Thanks for the encouragement and stop watch operation from my son!! 😮

    Still sore from Day 1, level 1! Looking forward to Day 3 on Saturday. Not sure if I can get more than 2 pull ups without subs, but I will do my best. If not, will get back to level 1 next week.

    Pullups 2, 1 chin up, 1,1,1,1,1,1 negatives, 6, 6, 3 body rows 😳

    Pushups 21 — tough last 5

    Squats 21 — easy

    Time 4:14

    This was really tough, especially the pull ups. I really need to improve my pull ups. Any suggestion would be much appreciated!

    I am apprehensive to level up next week because of my pull ups. Do i stay at level 1 until I can complete it unassisted, or move on to level 2 and hope my pull up performance improves?

    L2D1

    28 rounds. big difference from round one. Did 10 pullups/chinups, then had to go to subs (body rows). Focused on form with everything.

    tough week with work. too many hours. Back to it today. see you Monday for L2D2.

    L2D2 workout

    39.50 s — pull ups 3, push ups 8, squats 13 😯

    38.49 s — pull ups 2,1, push ups 8, squats 13

    35.30 s — pull ups 2,1, push ups 8, squats 13

    36.30 s — pull ups 2,1, push ups 8, squats 13

    34.51 s — pull ups 2,1, push ups 8, squats 13

    3min 4.1 seconds

    Pull ups still very tough, but I did surprise myself with three in a row on the first set.

    Thanks again to my son for keeping time with the stop watch and being my “trainer” yelling “faster”, “you can do it”, and “come on, don’t be a weenie!”

    Thursday am for L2D3…
