    First Day

    Background:

    Male (Minneapolis Area) , 43 yo, 5’8″, 33in waist, 178 lbs. Decent shape. (I would guess between 10-20% BF). I could stand to lose another 10-20 lbs and add some more muscle. I’ve lost a lot of weight over the last 2 years (I was 265 lbs as recently as 12/2008—you can change your life fairly quickly. (265 is not a typo).

    I like to try a new workout program every 90-180 days.

    Discovered Simplefit at Mark Sisson’s site. I like to keep things simple, so I’ll give it a try. Seems like a cool idea: You, pull up bar and gravity, that’s all you need.

    L1D1: 44 Rounds.

    Welcome aboard!

    44 rounds is great result. You’ll level up in no time, or, you could just bump yourself up to level 4 or 5 right now.

    Thanks Cheapo. It was your post of 4/23/2010 at Mark’s site that convinced me to give SF a try. Very impressive change on your part.

    I’m going to take one level at a time and see how it goes. Step by step is good (That is how I’ve treated this whole turnaround thing-one step at a time).

    L1D3 2 Minutes 2 Seconds.

    Normally I do a descending set of intervals after my ‘main’ workout (4 Minutes of Burpee-Pull Ups, 3 Minutes of Burpees, 2 Minutes of Jump Squats, 1 Minute of lateral jump Squats)…skipped this AM since I’m feeling a little ‘under the weather’. Perhaps later.

    L4 D3 at 5 Minutes 37 Seconds. So repeat level 4. (Ran out of gas on the squats).
