I’ve been following the diet guidelines for a couple of weeks now and I’ve noticed a really odd effect: I’ve consistently been getting hunger pangs AFTER I eat something, no matter what or when. I have no idea what it’s about and I’m wondering if it’s something in how I’m eating. My routine is settling down into something like this virtually every day:
snack in the morning, apple/almonds or both
lunch: piece of meat, salad, piece of fruit, a little guacamole with baby carrots
snack in the afternoon (sometimes): almonds or fruit again
dinner: essentially same as lunch
I’ve also been throwing in some frozen raspberries and the occcasional bit of dried apricot. I just got into this and really have no idea what I’m doing, so I’m wondering if I’m not screwing it up somehow (too much “good fat”, too much food in general, etc.) Anybody ever have this happen or have advice?
Try not eating carbs alone, always with fat and protein. Also try to pack in as much green leafy veggies as possible. carrots and dried fruit tend to have high gl/gi which can spike insulin and cause hunger.
