L1D1: I did 25 rounds, but I only devoted 12 minutes to it. I just wanted to get a log going today for motivational purposes. See you on Thursday.June 12, 2007 at 3:22 pm #110741 Glad you’re here!June 13, 2007 at 4:51 am #110742 Forgot to mention this is week 7. Next week I’ll rest, but for now I feel great. This level may be too easy for me. The timing will tell by the end of the week.June 14, 2007 at 1:57 pm #110743 Week 7
L1D2: 3 min 11 sec.
I’ve been sore since I actually put some time and effort into my day 1 workout. I’m able to do this workout below time, but I think I want to stay on this level until I can do all my pullups smoothly and correctly. I can’t get my chin up over the bar if my palms face away from me. My range of movement just stops despite my strength probably being enough to get up higher. I have to swing my legs to get that last little bit.June 14, 2007 at 2:24 pm #110744
Me too – swinging legs.
Picture this – I am on my knees, legs folded, reaching the bar and trying to swing my torso to get a pullup as my elbows hit the door frame. ARGHHH I have to get an outdoor pullup bar! LOLJune 14, 2007 at 2:53 pm #110745
dude! you must have the frame of a man! probably because you’re a man…lol
I spent a large part of my upbringing in Alabama, but left years ago.June 14, 2007 at 4:12 pm #110746
Where in Alabama?
Where now?June 14, 2007 at 6:28 pm #110747
I moved to Montgomery from CA when I was 11 and lived there till I went to college at USA in Mobile. I left when it was time to get married and now we live in Oregon.
How about you?June 14, 2007 at 6:42 pm #110748
I’m in the Muscle Shoals Area – originally from here.
Lived in Marion for a while.
Lived in the UAE and Pittsburgh.
Glad to be back in the South. I’ve been to Portland – loved it! I love the public trans system and wish we had something remotely close to the culture for cyclists here. Commuting via Bike is essentially impossible here.June 16, 2007 at 5:39 pm #110749
L1D3: 2 min 1 sec
Also, yesterday I walked the dog for about 40 min (which I wouldn’t normally log except) after that I rode my bike to the transit stop and then to my buddy’s house up at the top of Mt. Tabor. And back. It was a leisurely ride, but I figure it counts because I’ve got to say my legs were screaming in agony the whole time.
Also, VBM, you’re right about the bike culture thing. We almost went back to AL so my husband could go to school cheaply – even bought a house in Mobile – but the culture there is so far from what we want in a place to live. Mainly in the area of bike friendliness and car culture. We love our public transit.June 21, 2007 at 3:48 pm #110750
One day we’ll all have it!June 25, 2007 at 1:41 pm #110751 Week 8: Rest
